it’s been pretty unpredictable as of late. since my last blog about the rain, it’s been pouring for socal standards, hail at times. but i’ll admit the rain has been a nice change and actually brings some sense of season to alwayssunnysocal. beauty in change from rain to sun below.

happened to cause me to post pone a shoot at the beach for the 2nd time. instead of shooting, decided to roam 3rd street promenade.

stopped by a great bookstore that I could have probably stayed at all day to browse photography and art then strolled in the rain and ran into an musician, I’ve always wanted to see perform.

last stop was versailles, where my friend and I warmed up to fresh toasty garlic buttered french bread,

garlic chicken and ox tail stew with all the fixins on the side. mMm.

a little about how this came together…

Logan very recently moved to LA from Denver after having her own chair at a salon and decided to come out here to pursue a career in print. She needed to start her portfolio and I was more than happy to help! I was introduced to her by a really sweet girl, that I met at an event supporting Children Uniting Nations, named Affy who used to style in London but is now working in costumes for film and tv. Logan sent me an email on Wednesday and we shot on Sunday… super spontaneous, and loved every second of it!

i’ve blogged about comme before and commented on how I love the way watanabe and kawakubo liberally mix materials and fabrics in their collections. just wanted to blog about this shirt from the collection that I would love to own myself. I find GREAT joy in details.
